I'm kinda busy with school, my day starts at 7:30am and ends at 7pm.. lol.. Really stressful!
Anyways,
Does anybody here know of other interesting AI related stuff aside from asimo and project Aiko? Googling for AI is too broad, I need something specific so that we could present interesting examples!
If you do, please let me know..

And yes, you should also focus on certain modern super-computers these days - some of them are starting to become AI-level stuff.
Of course, you should also research about unpiloted vehicles as well, such as "automatic driver" computers being tested in cars, as well as UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles). Another such good example of that would be the DARPA challenge, which involved the devlopment of driver-less ground vehicles.

I do face AI in videogames on a frequent basis.
basically, AI are preprogrammed to respond to situations. responses differ depending on circumstances, like terrain, immovable and movable obstacles, and other such things depending on the program or whatever.
in a Shooter game, it would respond to terrain, number of their own troops, number of hostiles, and how much and what kind of weapons are used on them, what they have at their disposal, amount of health remaining, stuff like that. as such, it acts a lot like a human, just a bit more predictable.
the RTS 7th Legion contained an AI which made the troops decide for themselves to charge/scout the battlefield or find the shortest route to point A on their own, which rarely yielded the wanted results. then again, the game is over a decade old, so the AI wasn't topnotch compared to nowadays.
robotwise, I've heard about swarmbots, which scout the area and cooperate to perform all kinds of tasks, like building a bridge or move an object.
think that's any help?
